Abstract:In response to the ground maintenance and testing requirements for electronic equipment in early warning aircraft mission systems, and in view of the problems of existing customized dedicated signal-level simulators such as single functionality and large size, a design of a signal-level simulator for early warning aircraft electronic equipment with a small structure and integrated functions was carried out based on software-defined radio technology. The system adopts a modular architecture design, and the hardware units are interconnected through standard buses such as PXIe bus and LAN network, consisting of general-purpose PXIe bus instrument modules and dedicated modules. The software units integrate five software configuration items to achieve the simulation of five typical signals, and the software-defined radio technology is adopted, with signal simulation defined by software algorithms. The actual engineering application has verified that it can meet the signal simulation requirements in the maintenance and testing of equipment such as AIS, transponders, shortwave anti-jamming radios, and J-link.
