Abstract:Based on high-speed digital signal processing technology, an electronic stabilization platform for the secondary surveillance radar (SSR) interrogator antenna has been developed. This platform receives real-time attitude information from the ship, effectively resolving the issue that the target azimuth and elevation data acquired by shipborne secondary air traffic control radar are not referenced to the same coordinate system. It corrects the angle measurement errors caused by ship motion. By employing a low-cost, highly reliable approach, the system significantly improves the azimuth and elevation accuracy of the SSR for aerial targets in maritime environments. The solution has been validated through theoretical simulations and field tests, and has been successfully deployed on multiple large surface vessels.
