Abstract:In the development and production of electronic products, a large number of formal or informal inspections with different assembly levels, different technical states and different purposes should be carried out, among which the workload of electrical performance testing is very large. Although automatic test system (ATS) can avoid many problems of manual testing, such as heavy workload, long testing cycle, error prone, but it also faces many challenges, such as how to reduce the development cost and shorten the development cycle of the test system, and how to respond quickly to changes in field requirements. Therefore, hardware and software architecture of ATS is proposed, and application framework software is developed. The approach realizes the reuse of software components between different products by adopting the generalized, serialized and modular design ideas; allows users to customize ATS according to the test task with the help of an open, EXCEL based test script; improves the automation degree of ATS by controlling the product, switch subsystem together with various test instruments. The approach is verified based on three families of typical products and the results show that it is very effective for realizing the rapid development of ATS.
