Abstract:The moisture content of tobacco is one of the important parameters that affect the quality and taste of cigarettes. Excessive or insufficient moisture content of tobacco can lead to poor combustion and significant differences in taste of cigarettes. In order to effectively control the stability of the moisture content of cut tobacco and improve the quality stability of cigarette products, an automatic control system for the moisture content of fine cut tobacco is designed based on MFA-SM. The system framework has three layers, namely the MFA-SM front-end acquisition layer, the intermediate layer, and the terminal control layer. Design system hardware, including water rate data acquisition equipment, MFA-SM controller, driver, micro mist humidifier, and drying equipment. Using a moisture meter to collect the moisture content of tobacco, and using a wireless radio frequency module to transmit the data to the MFA-SM controller, the controller operates a sliding mode control module in the inner loop of the dual loop control module, which is used to calculate the control parameters of the drying equipment, and a model free adaptive control module in the outer loop, which is used to calculate the control parameters of the micro mist humidifier. Control the operation of drying equipment and micro mist humidifier according to control parameters to achieve automatic control of tobacco moisture content. The experimental results show that under the application of the designed system, the water content error is less than 0.3%, and the goodness of fit is 0.952, which has better control effect.
