In the design of reflector antenna, while pursuing high gain, it is often required to have a low side lobe to prevent interference to other systems. By analyzing the influence factors of the antenna side lobe of different antenna forms, the principle and method of parameter selection in the design of low side lobe reflector antenna are studied, and the design method of low side lobe reflector antenna is summarized. A design example and performance simulation calculation of an ultra-low side lobe dual-offset reflector antenna for practical engineering applications is given. This simulation results show that aperture efficiency of the antenna is better than 59% and the side lobe is better than -40dB, which verifies the correctness of the analysis and design method. The method can be used to guide the engineering design of low side lobe reflector antenna.
