The method of measuring the indication error of impeller anemometer in wind tunnel laboratory was studied by taking the air velocity measured by pitot tube and micro differential pressure gauge as the reference wind speed. This paper introduced the working principle of the impeller anemometer, and analyzed the technical indexes of instruments used in the method. Then, an example of impeller anemometer was tested by using this method. The uncertainty of the test example was evaluated and analyzed, and the conformity of the indication error was determined. The results show that the most important source of uncertainty at 5 m/s and below is the measurement of velocity pressure in wind tunnel flow field, and the most important source of uncertainty above 5 m/s is the non-uniformity of the wind tunnel flow field and the angle between the pitot tube and the air flow. The measurement uncertainty can be further reduced by improving the accuracy of the micromanometer, reducing the non-uniformity of the wind tunnel flow field and reducing the angle between the pitot tube and the airflow.
