Abstract:A Design method of omnidirectional circularly polarized antenna based on quadrifilar helix is proposed. By adjusting the pitch and diameter of helical structure, the omnidirectional circularly polarized radiation characteristic is reaslized by the proposed antenna, and a microstrip power splitter with the function of phase shifting is used to realize the helical feed. The design parameters of the antenna are analyzed and optimized, and the prototype antenna is fabricated. The measured results are basically consistent with the simulation results, and the antenna has good characteristics of increasing omnidirectional circular polarization radiation in the 2.05GHz~2.2GHz frequency range.
