Abstract:With the deployment of mission critical (MC) mobile broadband technology based on 3GPP standard, broadband communication capability can be provided for public protection and disaster relief. The common method is to provide MC Service and commercial traffic (CO) on public mobile network, and use priority mechanism to protect MC connection in case of congestion. However, in this method, commercial traffic is not protected before MC traffic in a specific unit surges, because all resources will be allocated to serve this traffic. In this context, a solution of multi-channel MC with good stability and commercial service with congestion protection is proposed. The solution is based on 5g network slicing characteristics. This paper mainly describes how to parameterize different slices in 5g radio access network (RAN) and the operation of the underlying radio resource management (RRM) function supporting radio resource allocation on the basis of combining priority, so as to establish radio load guarantee for each type of service. The MATLAB simulation results show that compared with the solution that only depends on the prioritization mechanism, the slice configuration method adopted this time has been improved in traffic isolation and provides a reliable guarantee for different types of services.
