In the background of the application of UAV to the power line inspection, a power line detection method based on two point line search is proposed in order to convenient analyzing the power line. Firstly, the UAV image is segmented by the Canny filter or the Steerable filter. Then, a straight line segment detection method based on the CBS line segment detection method based on image geometric relationship is proposed. Finally, we connect the straight line segments through the proposed join algorithm. Experiments on straight line segments on artificial images show that the method is an effective line detection method. Subsequently, experiments on UAV images in real scenes prove that this method is an effective method for detecting power lines.
