Abstract:For the current issue like the high-cost of electrodes which control myoelectric prosthetic hands, poor flexibility of operating and difficulty of applicability, electromyography prosthetic hands control system based on MYO and Android is designed. On the Android platform, we developed an intelligent terminal application, realize data processing and pattern recognition to collect surface electromyography with the MYO armband, to real-time control prosthetic hand and have completed five hand motions. Experimental results show that the recognition rate of the system reaches 98.2%, and completes an identification process around 300ms, to meet the accuracy and real-time requirements with prosthetic hand control. This system is low cost, easy to carry and easy to expand, so it is able to meet the needs of the control of prosthetic hand for amputees.
