Abstract:The basis of millimeter wave technology application is the difference of radiation characteristics between Objects in millimeter wave band, but the study of objects’ radiation characteristics in millimeter wave band is lack of relevant theoretical and experimental verification support in present stage. Therefore in this paper , we focused on the building model and simulation about radiation characteristics of sand soil affected by water content on 8mm wave band, and designed experiments to verify the correlation between the radiation characteristics of sand soil with water content. The simulation results were in agreement with the experimental results. With the increase of water content, the emission rate decreased.
