In allusion to the inefficiency and low reliability in information acquisition in the transformer substation and the difficulty in statistics and analysis of the data collected, using the widely used android pads as carriers and taking use of wireless communication technology, xml parsing and two-dimensional bar code scanning, an Android platform based intelligent inspection system for transformer substations is developed. The system is in accordance with the standards and norms of State Grid Corporation of China. The overall architecture and function design is discussed. The function of each module and the key technology used in each module are given. The intelligent inspection system for transformer substations has the whole inspection functions. The system which is good for ensuring the safety of power facilities and reliability of power supply works in stable and reliable. That the system is used by mianyang power grid shows the reliability and practicability of the system.
