Abstract:For industrial site put forward higher requirements on the PLC control system reliability, make use of redundant technology to improve its reliability. The applications of hardware redundancy and software redundancy in the PLC control system are analysised, elaborated on PLC controller, input and output ports, communication network and power respective redundancy method, and focused on Siemens 300/400 series PLC as an example to analysis the hardware and software redundant architecture and Principle. Finally, the reliability of Redundant control system is analysised, the results showed that the use of redundant technology enables PLC control system reliability improved significantly.
