Abstract:In order to achieve a simple, stable and reliable ideo monitoring system for a client and a server program, the system combines with embedded development technology, video processing and encodec technology, network communication and computer technology.It analyzes the history and development trend of video monitoring system, and points out its limitations. Then, according to the development trend, it proposes a solution which was based on mobile Internet, and chooses Android as a platform for implementation .Make a detailed description and analysis for related technologies such as video codec technology and Java Native Interface technology. A clear objective and the system is achieved, and then design the system and build a procedural framework for it. According to the framework, design and implementation of the various sub-function modules including video device module, video processing module, video codec module, network module and video record module and so on.Finally, test the system and certify its integrity, then analyzedsystem performance and deficiencies.As it is proved by the experiment, the video monitor system has achieved the required functions, stable, efficient, and user-friendly. Therefore, the system is of good development prospect and practical significance.
