Active vibration control of car roof embedded piezoelectric sensors and actuators have been studied for the question of vibration and noise in car. Mathematical model of piezoelectric plate has been created. Vibration mode of a car roof has been analyzed through finite element analysis. The gains of sensors and actuators have been formulated as the objective function parameters to minimize the vibration response. The control system is composed of piezoelectric sensors, actuators and the independent modal space controller (IMSC) have been applied in active vibration control of car roof. The finite element model of car roof has been constructed for modal analysis. This control method has been proved to be available by experiment result.
