Abstract:An embedded color graphic display system for intelligent instrument is constructed, which uses LPC1788 as the display controller and aims at convenient usage, flexible configuration and width different applications. The characteristics and demands of the graphic display system of intelligent instrument are analyzed first. Guideline and outline of the embedded system is proposed followed. Then, the design of the hardware and software of the system, including the embedded graphic display controller, the transmission and transformation of display data, the interfaces between the controller and LCD panel, and the API library used by display data source are discussed one by one. The system test is carried out at last, in which a baud rate of 115200 is used to send display commands to the system from outside of the system and experimental results show that the designed system can meet the requirements of ordinary intelligent instruments。
